BFM-240-25A Variable Burst Fired AC Regulator

The BFM-240-25 is a mains supply, 25A ac energy regulator for proportional linear manual control of resistive loads using variable on/off bursts of complete main cycles energy, coincident with mains zero crossover. The unit uses a high current power device (triac) mounted on an integral heatsink to ensure reliability. Simple supply and load connection is achieved by a 5-way power terminal block. Control is achieved Manually by a 100k potentiometer (not supplied) connected to the 3-way signal terminal block.

BFM-TH Burst Firing Trigger Circuit

The BFM-TH is a -hybrid burst firing trigger circuit, which generates virtually no RFI or arcing. Its simple 7-pin connections therefore make it versatile and useful as a low cost firing circuit to suit a wide range of load applications with the addition of a potentiometer and triac.

BFTM Burst Firing Trigger Module

The BFTM-1 single phase burst firing trigger modules designed to drive our full range of thyristors and triacs. The BFTM-1 is a single phase or 2-wire format capability.
The BFTM-3 three phase burst firing trigger modules designed to drive our full range of thyristors and triacs. The BFTM-3 has a one-phase supply controlling three phase loads in star or delta configurations.
The control input signal is internally isolated and will accept either a DC signal or potentiometer. Proportional output control is indicated by a flashing LED. The module is designed for mounting on either standard or top hat profile or G profile DIN rail. External connections are via screw terminals, which together with the fuses are accessible from the front.

BM2R Single Cycle/Dual Cycle Burst Fire Range

The BM2R driver module has been designed to offer Single-Cycle/Dual-Cycle firing of thyristor controllers driving resistive loads. In Single-Cycle or Dual-Cycle mode, these modules use the fastest burst rates possible, providing very accurate control and mininising Harmonic distortion. In addition the standard variable burst rate, adjustable from 1 to 30 seconds, is also available. BMT3A Burst Firing Trigger Module
This microprocessor based dual range temperature control module incorporates the unique mono-linkä - Gate to Gate firing feature which uses single path hard firing for each phase thyristor pair eliminating cathode firing connections. The burst firing circuit prevents fast changes in load current thus inhibiting Radio Frequency Interference.

FC11BL Burst Firing Trigger Module

This single phase burst firing module operates on a one second nominal time base. The zero triggered output has a variable on/off ratio, which is proportional to the manual control signal or dc input demand signal. Phase timing problems are eliminated, as the opto-isolated output driver stage is self-timing from the associated power device connections. The burst firing circuit provides trigger pulses coincident with the mains supply polarity crossover, ensuring complete sine wave cycles are passed through the resistive load. This prevents fast changes in load current and inhibits RFI (Radio Frequency interference).

FC11BL/2 Burst Fire Trigger Module
This single phase firing module has its own built in power device, reducing wiring and fixing connections. Ideal for heating loads up to 25 Amps, when fitted onto a suitable heatsink. Burst firing operates on a 1second nominal time base. The zero crossing triggered output has a variable on / off ratio which is proportional to the manual control signal or dc input demand signal. The burst firing circuit provides trigger pulses coincident with the mains polarity crossover, ensuring complete sine wave cycles are passed through the resistive load. LTM Burst Firing Trigger Module Range

This logic driven trigger module gives zero crossing opto-isolated control to convert on/off signals into power, via inverse parallel thyristor or triac. It can accept a wide range of signals from TTL, CMOS devices, processor or fast cycling instrument sources. Unique MONO-LINKTMfeature gives hard gate firing from G2/T2 terminals. Applications


Suitable for most thyristors and triacs within voltage limitations. The module can also be used on the 3 phase Star to Neutral connected loads, with the input signal arrangement in a series or parallel configuration. Virtually all resistive loads including ovens, hot plates, furnaces, dryer heater bands, space heating and other temperature control applications.
