Celebrating 50 Years

United Automation was originally formed in 1964 by Norman Hambley, we have been specialising in the manufacture of power controllers ever since and still to this day manufacture some of the original designed products in our range.  We currently have a product range of over 400 variations of our products and distribute to over 88 countries, although including distribution this is more.

On the 27th June, we celebrated our 50th Anniversary, marking this special occasion by holding an Open Day. The turnout included customers, suppliers, local businesses, members of the council and Liverpool Enterprise Partnership and staff members past and present. Guests gathered in a marquee set up with refreshments and entertainment, with company tours going on throughout the day.

Guests were given tours around the factory showcasing many of United Automations products and the processes involved in the production of the products. Sales Manager Graeme McLaren and Dean Fashoni Operations Manager provided a brief history for each product group and an overview of the types of applications their products are part of.The day involved showcasing our capabilities as one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of electronic power control products. It was the first time we showcased our newly Refurbished R&D Laboratory, this is a particular area of the company we hope to grow this year.

Dean explained that “The Company’s growth last year was 10% and in 2014 United Automation are looking to grow by 20% due to new innovations and products. There is a plan to employ graduates from local universities to help develop products with our new R&D Facility”
